Andrea Knasel, Founder
Gratitude-Driven Leadership
Moved by the strength and sacrifice of military families, I founded Operation Honor & Aid out of gratitude for those who serve, and the loved ones they leave behind.
I felt a calling to stand beside those who serve our country—and the families who support them from home.
I didn’t grow up in a military family, I haven’t worn the uniform, nor have I experienced the long days and nights of waiting for a loved one to return, but I’ve come to understand the strength carried by those who do. I’ve heard their stories, witnessed their resilience, and learned the sacrifice that takes place beyond the battlefield.

Standing Beside
Those Who Sacrifice The Most
These families navigate separation, uncertainty, and emotional strain with little recognition, and I believe they deserve consistent support, understanding, and connection. True support, in my view, doesn’t require shared experience or background—it only requires shared humanity, compassion, and the willingness to show up.
Through community events and donor-driven initiatives, our mission is to create connection and tangible aid.
We strive to offer more than words of thanks by providing real support, emotional encouragement, and genuine human connection—especially when it is needed most.
Turning Appreciation into Action
A Responsibility We All Share
This nonprofit is my way of saying thank you. Not with words alone, but with meaningful action. While I may not have military roots, I am deeply rooted in the belief that honoring service is a responsibility we all share. Operation Honor and Aid exists to live out that belief every day—by standing with those who sacrifice, and by ensuring their families are never left to carry the weight of service alone.
